Hey Paddock

A team of AI agents for hospitality

A team of AI agents you hire for your venue. They work for you and your team, around the clock and without reminders. I built it on what I dealt with for years in my own venues.

The questions that weighed on me

For years, the same questions weighed on me as an owner.

  • Did everyone show up for work?
  • Did the team finish their tasks?
  • Do they have the information they need for today?
  • Why did the new system fade away after two weeks?

The first version of Hey Paddock came out in May 2026, and the first venue to get it was Paddock on Mierové námestie. Its first feature was checklists: the same tasks every day and their check, instructions on how to open and how to close. Always the same way.

A team member comes to work and follows the list. Haven't been in for three days? In the meantime, a new morning task was added and two disappeared. They go through the list and do things the way they should be done. No need to chase what changed, today this way, tomorrow another.

The checklist is always the reference.

And suddenly it works. This one feature has grown into a whole team of agents.

An iPad at the entrance used as an attendance kiosk. A team member scans the QR code with their phone or enters a PIN; the code changes every 15 seconds.
Did everyone show up for work? A kiosk at the entrance, clock-in and clock-out via QR code or PIN.

A team you hire

In my view, a lot of business software is just a nicely wrapped spreadsheet. Precisely because I kept spreadsheets for everything, I know where they end. Someone always has to type things in, and someone else has to check them. Hey Paddock is different. It is a team of AI agents you hire for your venue, who do the work for you and your team.

Team members talk to a single assistant, Roger. He understands what they need and quietly passes the task to the right specialist.

  • Rogerthe lead assistant who runs the whole team
  • Sandychecklists
  • Adawho is on shift, and attendance
  • Remyreservations
  • Ritareviews

And many more agents, with new ones joining all the time.

So Ada knows who showed up for work. Sandy keeps an eye on the morning opening routine, so the owner doesn't find out about a missed step at lunchtime. And because the agents work around the clock without reminders, the system doesn't fade away even when the owner turns to something else.

Most software is built for the boss. We turned that around.

Staff don't like being watched, so they make up data or ignore the app. That is why we first solve what hurts team members on shift: swapping a shift in a few taps, a recipe or procedure in seconds, clear instructions without calling the boss. Team members use the agents because they help them get through the shift. Thanks to that, the manager knows exactly what is done and how things are going. You can't run a venue without that.

What has changed in our venues since then:

  • clear operating manuals and clear checks,
  • easy shift swaps,
  • accurate clock-in and clock-out times and better punctuality,
  • excellent analytics that we use for decisions at our meetings.
An iPhone with a conversation with Roger. Asked “How are we doing with the checklists?”, he replies that opening was done at 7:39 and shows the progress of today's checklists.
Roger answers from the venue's data: what is done and what needs attention.
An iPhone with the Opening checklist. The first items, such as switching on the coffee machine and flushing the group heads, are ticked off; 5 of 10 are done.
Sandy and the Opening checklist. Always the same, step by step.

Our own venues first

Today our businesses run without us. Our managers run the venues every day together with Hey Paddock, and Samuel and I make decisions at regular board meetings. Our own venues are the best testing ground for Hey Paddock. If something doesn't work for us, we won't roll it out to others.

Without investors, from our own profits, we built a portfolio of cafés, coworking spaces and a building in a park, starting from loss-making beginnings. For years I was in operations: people, shifts, attendance, finance and cash flow. I know what keeps owners and managers up at night, because I dealt with it myself.

We have been building systems for years. The Paddock Klub loyalty program with 8,000 members, our own cash flow tool, a shift planner and a digital menu connected to the till. Hey Paddock is the next step.

Where we are heading

In the first 3 months, more than 40 venues adopted it, with more than 500 team members working with it. Invite-only for now. We are heading towards a fully autonomous system that runs the venue with you, not one you have to run.

We want the business to be about people and craft, about why people got into it in the first place, and we want people in hospitality to have time left for what really matters to them.
